Evotaz Approved for HIV
The FDA approved Evotaz (atazanavir 300mg and cobicistat 150mg) tablets, manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). Evotaz is to be used in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults. Evotaz is a fixed-dose, once-daily tablet that includes the protease inhibitor Reyataz (atazanavir) and Gilead’s Tybost (cobicistat), a boosting agent. Evotaz is expected to be launched the first week in February.
