Generic to Lomedia 24 FE Available

May 29, 2015 – Teva launches a new generic equivalent to Lomedia® 24 FE (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol tablets, 1mg/20mcg and ferrous fumarate tablets, 75mg), an oral contraceptive for the prevention of pregnancy in women. The brand name version is manufactured by Amneal. Both of the products are equivalent to Warner Chilcott’s discontinued Loestrin 24 FE. IMS data estimates that annual sales for Lomedia 24 FE are approximately $32 million.

Adverse reactions or quality problems experienced with the use of a recalled product may be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program either online, by regular mail or by fax.
